---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Setting: Urban Ruins of Clover's attack.
Clover strode through the husks and shells of burning builders, ever alert of his surroundings. With no more attacks or shocks, his rage had begun to calm, and he mingled about the center of the ruins for some time, surveying his chaos with curiosity.

From several blocks away came the dull rumble of something approaching the center of the monster's attack. Within moments, from behind a crop of blasted but still standing buildings, thundered the massive frame of the mechanical MechaGodzilla GDF-MK1. After clearing the block and catching sight of the massive monster, it came to a standstill and paused. Inside, the copilot AI chirped up... Warning. Large Scale Aggressor designate CLOVERFIELD, visual confirmation achieved. Initiating red alert, defenses on-line, weapons on-line. All systems nominal. The pilot replied with a terse thanks, and started bringing the scanners to bear on the beast and the surrounding area, trying to get a better idea on how to handle this mission. MechaGodzilla hummed audibly, and a sharp crack indicated his outermost field array had just come to life.

Clover, who had been peering into what remained of a smoldering building, jumped slightly at the sound of MechaGodzilla's force fields coming online. Clover turned, gorilla-like, as his massive front limbs appeared to guide his body. Cocking his head, Clover tried to make sense of this new thing.

Inside the cockpit, several displays began to fly across the readout screens and new information begain to superimpose itself over the HUD. The AI stated, "Initial analysis still in progress. Suggest low-level aggressive display to instigate response. Defensive measures prepared." "Agreed", returned the pilot. Taking a thunderous step back, the massive mecha clanged his fists together repeatedley, and loosed a dull, rasping, metallic growl. It's cool blue eyes flashed to a startling yellow.

Clover instantly drew back his head and uttered an unsure hiss. His posture tensed, and his tail whipped about agitatedly, causing some meaningless damage to the already shattered wreckage around him.

Sensing that he should amp up the display, the pilot decided to switch up the antics. Ceasing the fist-clashing, the MechaGodzilla threw it's head back in a deafening, air-splitting screech. With another thunderous step, it lurched forward, arms at his sides and claws splayed. If this doesn't send up some of his warning lights, I'll have to attack him first, thought the pilot. Information continiued to stream across his HUD and the smaller displays lining the cockpit.

Clover definitely took this as an aggressive display, especially so soon after being attacked by the military. His eyes took on a darker blackness and he puffed out his orange cheeks, letting loose his own ear-shattering bellow. With hardly any warning he sprinted into a charge, much faster than would be expected for a creature his size. Barreling headlong at MechaGodzilla, he aimed to headbutt the Mech and take it off it's feet.

[Oh whoop, forgot to add my +17 to Def. Okay, got this.]
"Well, I guess we provoked him", thought the pilot grimly as the monster impacted off the MechaG's hull. The charged armor field flared and sizzled, and the whole of the robot was pushed back several meters by sheer force, but the pilot held his ground. Selecting the plasma cannon and narrowing it's firing focus, he dropped the taregting reticle over one of the suggested weakpoints: the gangly arms, though brimming with muscle, didn't seem to be as thick as the torso itself. Crossing his fingers, he fired. Taking a few steps back after it's recovery, the MechaG's mouth opened and an azure bolt of plasma lanced out at the Cloverfield monster.

((So in this instance, it's your 57 to my 90. Which would count as a miss?))

Clover shrieked in surprise as the plasma bolt lanced past his shoulder. With a snarl, he turned to Mechagodzilla and unleashed a flurry of swipes, snarling angril.

[OH, whoop, sorry! Forgot it was my turn! lol]
With each claw swipe, MechaGodzilla's shields crackled and flared up, sending small corruscating sparks into the air to dissipate. "Shields at 92 per cent and holding", chimed the AI. The pilot grunted in response as he punched up several situational counter-attacks, reviewing them at lightning speeds as he kept his mecha steady. Try this on for size, he thought to himself, bringing the cutting lasers online and locking them onto the monster's torso. The deep crimson beams lashed out from MechaG's eyes in a quick burst, burning the air.
