((I can see that I mean when you are actually doing the math do you add it before or after translation from 1 to 100 scale to 1 to 20 scale..it makes a huge difference in how much of an impact stats have.))

[Hrm, upon carefull consideration of the position Clover is in, Goji, I do believe it's actually quite impossible for him to dodge this incoming attack, what with being lactehd onto MechG's arm and all. So, I'll see about deleting my previous Attack score, and for this instance I think you should generate a score simply for Damage Severity. What do you think?]

((Seems fair, yeah, but that's gonna open up a whole NEW can of worms. How do we determine what is, by definition, inescapable? I think we should still follow through as normal, and allow the defending player to determine that. I mean, it's pretty impossible to get out of, and godmodding can be caught in this instance easily.))

OOC: it's very easy to determine what is inescapable.
Attacks that are done when the kaiju are grappling with each other are inescapable unless the opponent has teleportation.

[Well, in this instance, Goji, it's pretty easy to see how Clover has only a two real options here: let go of MechaG's arm in order to try and avoid the attack, or stay latched on and hope the hit isn't too severe. It's not that the entire affair is unavoidable. It's that if he wants to keep his hold on me, he'd have to take the hit; he's literally point-blank range, and has no way to dodge, save letting go.]

((That's a good point. How do you propose I do a roll for damage severity? We don't have a table for that yet.))

Severity Roll [attack=14991389144295] ((Time out. Shouldn't Severity have a bonus, in this case negative, from Defense?))

[Hrm, I dunno. In this case, you shouldn't really be able to add anything from Defense in.... Let's see what the numbers look like with and without it, though.]

((My Severity Roll there glitched and isn't showing up.)) Severity Roll [attack=863828325711857] (-14 if we allow stat deductions.)

OOC: I don't agree with this negative-defense penalty. Not getting a modifier should be enough of a penalty, but it's not like all of Clover's super-durable hide has suddenly turned to marshmallow simply because he's so close and can't avoid the hit.
